The Rain That Never Ends – Part 1: The Stranger in the Storm
The city never stopped raining. Drops fell from the sky endlessly, turning streets into silver rivers. In her small room, Aira sat on the wooden floor, diary open in her lap.
“I’m bored… I can’t even go outside because of this endless rain,” she wrote.
Thunder roared, lightning split the sky, and the lights went out. The room went completely dark. Aira grabbed a candle and lit it. Its soft glow flickered on her face as she looked out the window.
That’s when she saw him.
A figure stood on top of a tall building across the street. And… he was doing something impossible. The rain around him stopped, just in a small circle, as if he controlled it.
Aira’s heart jumped. She wanted to meet him, to ask who he was, but before she could step outside… he disappeared.
Days passed. The rain continued endlessly. But Aira couldn’t forget him. She tried to catch another glimpse, and finally, by chance, she did.
She learned his secret. He wasn’t just a stranger — he was a Keeper of Rain, guarding someone who had a special item. This item, if placed on Mount Lumina, in front of an ancient temple, could stop the endless rain.
Aira’s curiosity grew. Could she really find this boy and the item? She asked the stranger everything she could.
“Where can I find him?” she asked eagerly.
He looked at her calmly.
“He lives in Raindale Village. I can stop the rain for only a few hours each year. Then I have to leave for the village too.”
Aira’s mind raced. She had to go. Days later, she packed her things. She was ready to leave the city and begin her journey to Raindale Village, to find the boy who could change the rain forever.
But the storm above seemed to whisper one warning…
“Not everything is as it seems.”
